SYNOPSIS
“My Perfectly Beautiful Life” is a play with music about four women and their search for balance and self-discovery in a hectic, self-centered world.
It explores the lives of four close girlfriends who change once they get married and get caught up in their responsibilities of work, motherhood, and being a wife. Bringing their friendship back helps them to find a way back to being the beautiful woman each was truly created to be.
“My Perfectly Beautiful Life” – a celebration of friendship, marriage and womanhood.
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
ANNA LEMOUR – POTTS . . . . . Age: 35, female. Overachiever, successful architect married to a school teacher with whom she has two sons. Sings.
MINDY RICE (nee WILBURN). . . Age 32, female. Once a songwriter, she ends up in marriage with four children and a secret from her past. Sings, plays guitar.
ROBERTA MATZ – HEYWARD. . . . Age 35, female. Owner of a shoe store, married to a literature professor with whom she has two children. Comes from an ethnic upbringing. Sings, plays an ethnic instrument (accordion, clarinet, fiddle…)
JENNA GOTSBILL (nee JEAGGER). Age 35, female. Raised in a free, open-minded family ends up marrying Brad Gotsbill, a successful businessman. They live in suburban subdivision and have one son. Sings, plays guitar.
LOCATIONS
The play takes place at a College somewhere in America, and in a metropolitan American city.
